With two twin bolts in the upper and lower position, the Winkhaus Thunderbolt™ locking system has 5 deadbolts as standard, giving high security and peace of mind. The Thunderbolt™ locking system is extremely easy to install and can be used with a range of doors including composite, timber, aluminium or PVCu.

20mm throw twin deadbolts

High security nickel plated alloy deadbolts that fully engage the keep rail and help prevent forcing the sash and frame apart.

Heavy duty steel keeps

Heavy duty keeps manufactured using high grade steel, plated to comply with Grade 4 corrosion resistance BS EN1670.

Latch and centre deadbolt

Precision engineered alloy sprung latch and nickel plated steel deadbolt provides the Thunderbolt™ with maximum strength in the centre of the door.

High performance gearbox

Tested to 100,000 cycles, the sprung gearbox offers the lowest possible operating forces and helps prevent handle ‘droop’.

Thunderbolt™ is a part of the ‘Winkhaus Family of Locks’ with exactly the same routing details as the Winkhaus Cobra, Trulock and autoLock AV2 and AV3 locking mechanisms allowing the locks to be interchanged for user requirements or building use.
